Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning has secured a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal with Red Bull, elevating his NIL valuation to an estimated $6.6 million—the highest among all college and high school athletes.
Arch Manning, the nephew of NFL legends Peyton and Eli Manning, redshirted his freshman year in 2023 and served as the primary backup to Quinn Ewers during the 2024 season. In his 10 appearances, Manning showcased his potential by throwing for 939 yards, nine touchdowns, and two interceptions, achieving a 67.8% completion rate. He also demonstrated his mobility, adding 108 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the ground. Notably, Texas emerged victorious in both games where Manning was the starting quarterback.
With Ewers declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft, Manning is poised to take over as the Longhorns’ starting quarterback for the upcoming season. His recent partnership with Red Bull marks a significant milestone in his collegiate career. In an interview with ESPN’s Marty Smith, Manning expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration:
“I really like this partnership. Everyone at Red Bull has been super nice to me and my family, and I can’t wait to get it going. Plus, I like a Red Bull in the morning… We got early meetings, need a little energy.
The NIL landscape has transformed collegiate athletics, allowing athletes to monetize their personal brands. Manning’s $6.6 million valuation underscores his marketability and the high expectations surrounding his performance on the field. This valuation places him ahead of other notable athletes, including Duke basketball freshman Cooper Flagg, who holds an estimated NIL value of $4.3 million.
As the Longhorns prepare for the 2025 season, Manning’s leadership will be pivotal. The team boasts a strong recruiting class, with On3 ranking Texas’ 2025 class as the nation’s best, featuring four 5-star recruits and fourteen 4-star recruits.
Manning’s ascent to the starting quarterback role aligns with Texas’ ambitions to solidify its position as a powerhouse in college football. His combination of pedigree, talent, and marketability positions him as a central figure in the Longhorns’ quest for national prominence.
The partnership with Red Bull not only enhances Manning’s personal brand but also reflects the evolving dynamics of college athletics, where athlete endorsements play an increasingly significant role. As the 2025 season approaches, all eyes will be on Arch Manning to see how he leads the Longhorns and lives up to the considerable expectations that accompany his name and newfound prominence.
