*MARK POPE FIRES UP KENTUCKY: “WE’RE GOING TO NASHVILLE TO WIN THE SEC TOURNAMENT!”*

Lexington, KY – BYU head coach Mark Pope had a clear message for the Kentucky Wildcats as they prepare to face off in the SEC Tournament: “We’re going to Nashville to win!”

Pope’s fiery comments came during a press conference on Tuesday, where he expressed his team’s confidence and determination heading into the tournament.

“We’re not just happy to be there,” Pope said. “We’re going to Nashville to win the SEC Tournament. We believe in ourselves, and we’re going to go out there and give it everything we’ve got.”

The Cougars, who finished the regular season with a 22-9 overall record and a 12-6 mark in SEC play, are looking to make a deep run in the tournament. Pope’s team has been led by a strong offense, which has averaged over 75 points per game this season.

Kentucky, meanwhile, is looking to bounce back from a disappointing regular season. The Wildcats finished with a 19-12 overall record and a 9-9 mark in SEC play.

Despite their struggles, Kentucky is still a formidable opponent, and Pope knows that his team will have to bring their A-game if they want to come out on top.

“We have a ton of respect for Kentucky and their program,” Pope said. “They’re a talented team with a lot of depth, and we know it’s going to be a tough game. But we’re confident in our abilities, and we’re going to go out there and give it everything we’ve got.”

The Cougars and Wildcats will face off in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament on Friday at 6:00 PM EST. The game will be televised on ESPN, and fans can also stream it online through the ESPN app.
