Kentucky Wildcats quarterback commit Stone Saunders has officially scheduled his next visit to Lexington, further solidifying his commitment to the program. The standout from Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, will be on campus from June 7 to 9, joining several other top recruits for a key weekend in Kentucky’s 2025 recruiting efforts.
Saunders, a four-star prospect, committed to Kentucky in August 2023, choosing the Wildcats over offers from Georgia, Michigan, Miami, and Texas A&M. His decision came during the tenure of former offensive coordinator Liam Coen. Despite Coen’s departure, Saunders has maintained his commitment, building a strong relationship with new offensive coordinator Bush Hamdan. He has already visited Lexington twice this spring, including attending the Wildcats’ Spring Game.
“I love Coach Bush. He was very impressive, the offense was very impressive,” Saunders said after his March visit. “And just him as a person in general, he just felt like a genuine person. I love the offense, loved him. And practice, the energy at practice was really good, too. It was a lot of fun.”
Saunders is one of the most accomplished quarterbacks in Pennsylvania high school history. He concluded his career as the state’s all-time leader in passing yards (13,719), passing touchdowns (204), and completions (781). He also became the first quarterback in state history to throw for at least 3,000 yards and 46 touchdowns in each of his four seasons.
During the June 7-9 visit, Saunders will be accompanied by fellow Kentucky commits Isaiah West (running back) and Tucker Kattus (offensive lineman), as well as several four-star prospects. This gathering presents a significant opportunity for the Wildcats to strengthen bonds among current commits and make a strong impression on potential additions to the 2025 class.
With Saunders’ continued commitment and impressive high school achievements, Kentucky’s future at the quarterback position appears promising. His upcoming visit will be a crucial step in maintaining momentum for the Wildcats’ 2025 recruiting class.
