Zachary Eggleton Elected 2025–26 USC Trojan Marching Band Drum Major
*Los Angeles, Calif. — May 4, 2025* — The University of Southern California proudly announced that Zachary Eggleton has been elected as the Drum Major for the USC Trojan Marching Band for the 2025–26 season. A momentous honor in one of the most storied collegiate marching bands in the nation, Eggleton now takes up the sword — both literally and symbolically — to lead the “Spirit of Troy” into its next chapter.
Eggleton, a standout member of the band and a dedicated leader throughout his time at USC, was selected following a rigorous audition and election process that tests not only technical skill and showmanship, but also leadership, discipline, and a deep understanding of Trojan tradition. With the unanimous support of his peers and the band staff, Eggleton earned the coveted position that dates back generations.

Dr. Jacob Vogel, director of the Trojan Marching Band, praised Eggleton’s leadership and work ethic.
