KIRBY SMART NAMED WINNER OF PRESTIGIOUS EDDIE ROBINSON COACH OF THE YEAR AWARD
Athens, GA – In a testament to his exceptional leadership and coaching prowess, University of Georgia head coach Kirby Smart has been named the winner of the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award. This prestigious honor is presented annually to the top college football coach in the country, as voted on by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA).
Smart, who has led the Bulldogs to unprecedented success during his tenure, was recognized for his outstanding work during the 2024 season. Under his guidance, Georgia dominated the competition, winning the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Championship and advancing to the College Football Playoff (CFP) National Championship game.
The Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award is one of the most coveted honors in college football, and Smart’s selection is a testament to his dedication, expertise, and commitment to excellence.
