In a shocking turn of events, 7-foot-5, 245-pound twin brothers Mandrell and Darryll Desir have committed to play for the Ohio State Buckeyes as defensive ends. The 4-star prospects, who are widely regarded as two of the most dominant defensive players in the country, made their decision official earlier today.
“We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve committed to Ohio State,” the brothers said in a joint statement. “We’re excited to be a part of the Buckeyes’ tradition of excellence and to contribute to the team’s success. We’re looking forward to working with Coach Day and the rest of the coaching staff to help bring a national championship to Columbus.”
The Desir brothers, who are from Florida, had been heavily recruited by some of the top programs in the country, including Alabama, Georgia, and Miami. However, after a series of visits to Ohio State, they ultimately decided that the Buckeyes were the best fit for them.
“We fell in love with the campus, the coaching staff, and the team culture at Ohio State,” Mandrell said. “We knew that it was the right place for us to achieve our goals and to make a difference on the field.”
