The new home shirt for Liverpool F.C. has officially been confirmed, with Adidas unveiling a bold retro-inspired design for the club’s 2026/27 campaign. The release marks another major chapter in Liverpool’s renewed partnership with Adidas, as the German sportswear giant continues to reconnect the Reds with some of the most iconic visuals in the club’s history.

 

The freshly released strip takes heavy inspiration from Liverpool’s legendary 1989-91 kits — shirts famously worn during one of the club’s most successful periods under Kenny Dalglish. The geometric patterning, sharp white detailing, and deep red base all serve as a tribute to that era, while Adidas has modernised the look with updated textures and performance technology.

 

Liverpool supporters had been anticipating the launch for weeks after several leaked images surfaced online earlier this month. Speculation intensified when reports emerged that some shirts had accidentally appeared in stores before the official unveiling date, adding even more excitement among fans eager to see the final product.

 

According to Liverpool’s official announcement, the 2026/27 home kit became available immediately after release through club stores, the official online shop, and retail partners worldwide.
