LEGENDARY GRANT HILL RETURNS TO THE NBA, JOINS ATLANTA HAWKS AS ADVISOR

Atlanta, GA – In a move that is set to send shockwaves throughout the NBA, legendary Hall of Famer Grant Hill has announced his return to the league, joining the Atlanta Hawks as a special advisor to the franchise.

Hill, a 19-year NBA veteran and seven-time NBA All-Star, will bring his vast knowledge and experience to the Hawks, working closely with the team’s front office, coaching staff, and players to help drive the franchise’s success.

“We are thrilled to welcome Grant Hill back to the NBA,” said Hawks Principal Owner Tony Ressler. “Grant’s incredible basketball IQ, combined with his passion for the game, make him the perfect fit for our organization. We look forward to leveraging his expertise to help take our team to the next level.”

Hill’s return to the NBA marks a triumphant comeback for the legendary small forward, who was forced into retirement in 2013 due to a series of injuries. Despite his playing career being cut short, Hill’s impact on the game has endured, with his on-court accomplishments and off-court philanthropy earning him a rightful place in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2018.

“I’m excited to be back in the NBA, and I’m grateful to the Atlanta Hawks for this opportunity,” said Hill. “I’m looking forward to working with the team’s talented young players, as well as the experienced coaching staff and front office. I’m confident that my experience and knowledge can help make a positive impact on the franchise.”

As a player, Hill was renowned for his versatility, athleticism, and clutch shooting ability, earning him the nickname “G-Money.” A standout performer at Duke University, Hill was selected third overall by the Detroit Pistons in the 1993 NBA draft and went on to enjoy a storied career with the Pistons, Orlando Magic, and Phoenix Suns.

Throughout his playing career, Hill was recognized for his outstanding achievements, including seven NBA All-Star selections, five All-NBA Team nods, and the 1995 NBA Co-Rookie of the Year award. Hill’s impressive résumé also includes a FIBA World Cup gold medal and a NCAA national championship with Duke in 1992.

Off the court, Hill has been an ardent advocate for social justice and education, working tirelessly to support various charitable initiatives, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the United Negro College Fund, and the NBA’s Basketball Without Borders program.

Hill’s appointment as special advisor to the Hawks is a significant coup for the franchise, which has been seeking to bolster its front office and coaching staff with experienced and knowledgeable personnel.

“Grant’s addition to our staff is a major win for our organization,” said Hawks General Manager Travis Schlenk. “His wealth of knowledge and experience will be invaluable in helping us make informed decisions and drive our team’s success.”

As Hill embarks on this new chapter in his illustrious career, fans and observers alike will be eagerly watching to see the impact he can make on the Hawks.
