A Unique Journey to Kentucky

Chandler’s path to Kentucky is anything but conventional. After an illustrious high school career at Farmington High School, where he was named the Utah Gatorade Player of the Year in 2022, Chandler initially committed to BYU and played under Coach Mark Pope. However, he chose to serve a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, dedicating his time to community service in Africa and Europe

Upon completing his mission, Chandler entered the transfer portal and ultimately decided to reunite with Coach Pope at Kentucky. This decision not only brought him back to the game he loves but also to a program with a rich basketball tradition and a promising future.

Impact on the Wildcats’ Roster

Chandler’s return is poised to significantly enhance Kentucky’s backcourt depth. During the 2024–25 season, he averaged 2.7 points and 1.0 rebounds per game over 30 appearances. Notably, his performance improved during the NCAA Tournament, where he averaged 6.0 points and 1.7 steals per game, shooting an impressive 62.5% from three-point range
